it’s so funny how all the LLM boosters fret about people not liking software (?) that they post all day about it and normal people just drive by dunk on them asking “but what does it do” and never think about it again

Gabby Williams: "What up George Lucas? That's pretty cool!"

valkyries are great — not a single player averages over 15PPG. just a supreme team effort with great bench minutes and a defense-first mindset. super fun to root for this kind of team

congrats to @humblecore.bsky.social / i’m so sorry you had to go through that game

we need a Remembering Some Guys for 2000s indie rock bass players. i need to be able to do something with “Scott Schoenbeck was traded to Dashboard Confessional in 2002 in a three band deal that sent Dan Bonebreak to The Enablers and shifted Ryan Weber from Camden to fill Schoenbeck’s old slot”

using head on as an example is just so perfect, because head on was a scam en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HeadOn

i see arguments like this sometimes and ... what's the thing. what is this "everyday annoying task" that an AI could actually do and that you could trust it to not totally fuck up? i cannot imagine the things. and tech/robots have made a lot of tasks more efficient but there's always more shit

The hot sauce made in Louisiana can now be found all over the globe. How it got there is complicated.

Just created a central clearinghouse for 'Breaducation'-related stuff over at Wordloaf: preordering, press & reviews, and events (I'll update this thread too):

Breaducation Central

Preordering, press coverage, event links, etc.

Flight 002 of Yahara Flyer is out! I wrote more about police bodycams. @jesseraub.online wrote about apples. Hoping to get the print edition distributed by this evening at @giantjonesbrewing.bsky.social, Cool Bikes North, @roomofonesownbooks.bsky.social, and @4starvideo.bsky.social

After more than a decade, MPD's plan for body cameras is still sketchy

The story we tell ourselves about bodycams. Also, apples.

Hey friends. My Cashapp account is temporarily locked for “security”(?) so if you get/got an error sending something (10 of you did between last night and today 💀) you can either try tomorrow or send via PayPal instead. I would’ve reached out directly but I don’t know who any of you are on here haha

Here’s the bigger ask I mentioned: I owe $6k in back rent. I’ve been selling my limited belongings to reduce the number but it is slow going and I can’t hope to cover it all, especially not in the short time I have. I have enough to cover October rent and little more. More details below.

Hey everyone. Things have been tough around here and they are about to get worse. I’ll probably need to make a bigger ask soon, but right now I’m asking for some help covering essentials. Next post has what I’m trying to cover. PP: @StellaSacco CA: $sacc No Venmo
