Dieses Buch ist für mich weit mehr als ein persönliches Projekt. Es ist ein gesellschaftspolitisches Buch über den Wandel unserer Generationen und darüber, wie Künstliche Intelligenz unsere Gesellschaft, unsere Arbeitswelt und unser Verständnis vom Menschsein verändert.
Wir leben in einer Zeit voller Widersprüche. Noch nie konnten wir die Zukunft mithilfe von Daten, Modellen und KI so präzise analysieren - und gleichzeitig war das Gefühl von Unsicherheit selten so groß. Informationen, Entscheidungen und Erwartungen verdichten sich. Die Welt wird schneller, und diese Geschwindigkeit verändert nicht nur Technologien oder Unternehmen, sondern auch unser Denken, unsere Beziehungen und unsere Identitat.
Meine zentrale These lautet: Ausgerechnet die Technologien, die Zukunft berechenbarer machen sollen, führen dazu, dass wir uns intensiver mit uns selbst beschäftigen müssen. Mit unseren Werten. Mit Orientierung. Mit Menschlichkeit. Vielleicht zwingt uns KI gerade deshalb dazu, neu zu definieren, was Menschsein eigentlich bedeutet.

Webers damalige Absage an die Rechtsextremen war einer jener Momente, in denen sich der Unbeirrbare belehren ließ. Wessen Rat interessiert ihn heute noch?

Es ist inzwischen Stand der Forschung, dass Bildungserfolg zu mindestens 50 Prozent genetisch bedingt ist. Haben Ihnen solche Kritik und daraus folgende Verrisse über diesen Aspekt Ihres Buches eigentlich wehgetan?

Sarrazin: Ja, natürlich. Aber das Ganze vollzog sich damals so überraschend und in solchem Tempo, dass ich überhaupt keine Zeit hatte, meinen Empfindungen nachzuhängen. Ich muss zur Kenntnis nehmen, dass der Stempel, den ich auf der Stirn trage, ein Brandzeichen ist – für alle Zeiten unveränderlich. Für 90 Prozent der Diskussionsteilnehmer bin ich der Sarrazin, der das Wort von den Kopftuchmädchen geprägt hat. Es gab aber natürlich auch Personen in den Medien, die sich doch mit meinem Buch auseinandergesetzt haben: Frank Schirrmacher schrieb etwa in der FAZ zunächst einen riesigen Verriss, in dem er mir Eugenik vorwarf. Später hat er sich dafür entschuldigt. Er hatte zwei Wissenschaftler mit einem Text beauftragt: »Was ist dran an Sarrazins Thesen?« Und da kam heraus, dass eben etwas dran ist. Ich durfte dann eine Zeit lang regelmäßig Gastbeiträge in der FAZ veröffentlichen.

After about two hours of reading or discussion, we would go for a walk and then have tea at Lyons, or in the restaurant above the Regal cinema. Sometimes he came to my house in Searle Street for supper. Once after supper, Wittgenstein, my wife, and I went for a walk on Midsummer Common. We talked about the movements of the bodies of the solar system. It occurred to Wittgenstein that the three of us should represent the movements of the sun, earth, and moon, relative to one another. My wife was the sun and maintained a steady pace across the meadow; I was the earth and circled her at a trot. Wittgenstein took the most strenuous part of all, the moon, and ran around me while I circled my wife. Wittgenstein entered into this game with great enthusiasm and seriousness, shouting instructions at us as he ran. He became quite breathless and dizzy with exhaustion.

G.K.: Differentials, mathematical ones. Let's say we have a function. Like "X = 2Y". If you define one of the values, it defines the other one as well, right? In other words, one of them depends on the other. That's yuri, isn't it. A function is a pairing. You get it, right?

G.K.: A differential represents how f(x) changes with respect to changes of X. When one of the women is going through a change, how does that change her partner — to answer that you need to calculate the derivative of the function.

G.K.: You can model yuri with a differential equation. What do the function represent — for starters, mental state. Happiness, anger, there is a multitude of dimensions. X and Y, a function of the feelings of them both. A function that expresses what one of them feels when the other one experiences something. Or you can also represent various situations with functions. For example, how does one of them react when the other one calls her. What does one of them do if the other one gives her chocolate on Valentine's Day. Or maybe a probability space.

If one were to become a writer, what would happen to the other one — describing such counterfactual space with functions. In "Weak Yuri" these functions would define the theoretical parameters of the characters. The theoretical model of one of the characters contains mental states, possibilities, and situations that can be expressed with functions, as well as different functions regarding the other character's theoretical model. The relationships between these functions give birth to new functions. That is functional yuri, from my "Weak Yuri" standpoint. In "Strong Yuri", these functions all exist in reality.

This is a fascinating case, but apparently no AI #histoslop. According to «Interfoto,» the image comes from a Munich auction house — which, along with Alamy’s statement that it was uploaded 20 years ago, suggests that it is a «real,» physical forgery created without AI (but maybe some Photoshop)
