People who do this and similar, after being prosecuted for vandalism, should be forced to attend a basic science course, akin to the speed awareness course for drivers.

What happened to indie film? Why don't we have the kind of rich movie culture we had up to the late 2000s? One reason is data. Netflix, Prime etc don't tell anyone how many people watch their movies (Netflix were recently pressured into publishing their Top 100 but that's maybe 1% of their library).

This does not meet the brief of being pointless and dull, sorry.

This is a triggering image of a museum display in the natural history museum in DC about life before smartphones. Me and a fellow 40+ person were laughing at how we are now LITERAL MUSEUM PIECES. MY teen was like did you have a clear phone? An address book? A book of maps. Yes, yes I did. 🫠🫠🫠

I work with disabled students (who usually need serious medical proof), mostly aged 18-22ish but some older. I lose track of how many refuse to use a mobility aid that might help reduce pain, fatigue, damage to their body because of stigmatising badness like that from Kathleen Stock today.

Re THAT Stock article, and if you don't think this is harmful, Ive tried to convince at least two elders and my mother to use a cane because they needed it, and each time, they refused violently because "it was shameful" This is how people overextend and hurt themselves, becoming more disabled.
