I haven’t been very good at keeping up with posting here. However, September was a big month for me and I wanted to share some more on it. Starting with the 1-year anniversary of Silenced Voices
I am dyslexic. Contrary to popular belief, I am not a bad reader. I am a very good reader. However, I am also a very slow reader. By the time I was in high school, I could not finish a lot of my reading assignments by the deadlines. Graphic novel adaptations saved me.

Many librarians, educators, and guardians want to encourage their kids to read more, but don't see how graphic novels might help. Let's talk about it!
being in animation, its not from AI. the streaming bubble bursting cuz everyone hopped on the grain cuz it undermined unions, less regulations and more mergers are what lead to the loss. AI is just what people think but it started way before that

I read Persepolis in high school; we had one copy in the library. At the time, it blew me away that you could make comics with so much heart like this, about memory, displacement, conflict, etc. I've read and watched the movie plenty of times. Will forever be grateful for all Marjane Satrapi gave us

Man, lots of talks and sessions dedicated to AI in the programming for Annecy this year. Really ramming this shit down, uh? There was a big rejection of it in previous years, but wondering if this will hold this year...

I love when grants make you create a new reel, a whole ass video essay that could've been a written paragraph, just to never even watch them and turn you down. Everything has analytics now. Like...if you're going to make people do all of that, at least pretend? 🤷♂️

This year, all prospective Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards voters will have to apply to be considered to vote before the nominees are announced. Please note that this is a change to previous years. No new applications will be processed once nominees are announced.
Online voting will be available to professionals in the comics industry, including creators, editors, publishers, distributors, and retailers.
Those who were invited to vote for the 2026 Hall of Fame are already eligible to vote for the Eisner Awards and do not need to re-register to vote.
