Anyone have access to the following reference? I've struck out. Hunter, M. A., & Ames, E. W. (1988). A multifactor model of infant preferences for novel and familiar stimuli. Advances in Infancy Research, 5, 69–95.

Got a paper rejected last week, but honestly the reviews were quite thoughtful and will make this piece better in the long run. Shout out to those anonymous reviewers and thank you if you were one of them!

📣 My lab at NYU currently has two open post-doc positions. We are interested in understanding perception, thinking, and hallucinations. We employ a range of cutting-edge techniques in human neuroscience (e.g., 7T fMRI, MEG, iEEG/DES) and computational approaches (e.g., DNN modeling).

Every time I lecture about self-esteem, I show a slide with a book shelf and a thought bubble reading “I’m a great shelf.” I then make a joke about shelf-esteem It never gets a laugh. I will not change the slide.

Fellow Texans: verify that your voter registration hasn't been suspended without your knowledge. I just double-checked mine following a link in the article; it took all of 1 minute. Make sure your voice can be heard in November.

More than 1.2 million Texans are on the state’s Voter Suspense list ahead of the fall’s contentious midterm elections. Texans still have time to check if they’re registered to vote before the October 5 deadline. Here’s how.

Over the next several months, we will phase out some popular OSF features. These changes do not affect current public content, which remains safe and accessible. We have prepared support material to help users adapt. I am very sorry for the disruption to your work. Please read this post for details.

OSF Changes | Center for Open Science

I have certain days of my week that are focused on course prep, others focused on writing and research I teach a 3-3 teaching load (at least one class every day) I’ve been productive in my writing and what helped me was getting comfortable writing for 30 minutes at a time

Academics who write during term (i.e. while teaching): 1. How many classes do you teach per term? 2. How often do you write (e.g. once/wk, when you can, etc.)? 3. When do you write (e.g. weekend, morning, at night, etc.)? 4. What's the biggest barrier(s) to you writing? 5. Do you have any tips?

A scribe in a ruby tunic with a dark purple cloak over top is seated on a wooden chair, and focusing on the task of writing in a manuscript that is resting on a lectern. The scribe appears inside a large, illuminated letter E that is blue. Within the E the background is made up of small dark blue squares with a circle in each square, almost like the wall behind the clerk is a quilt. The background outside the letter E is similar to the background in the letter E, only it is made up of red squares instead of blue ones.
