I don't think artists can actually stop the onslaught of AI bc tech companies have invested too much money in it to walk away from it now (I'm sure there'll be a tech burst in the coming years bc of it though), but I do think one way we can defend against AI is to be uniquely weird in our art

The l’mat was tough; his health suffered after years of 15-hour days. But he collected them for me—he found beauty in them and wanted me to, too
