I bought these old RSPB magazines for their CF Tunnicliffe cover pictures. They look so good together
Just seen the new John Lewis ad. An old lady is sat watching TV, the news tells her to buy tins of soup and bottled water because war is coming, she cries as she looks at the expensive John Lewis tree decoration that she spent her pension on instead. A Gabba version of Fairytale of New York plays.

“When I look round the boardroom at the other board members Palantir has recently also recruited from the House of Lords – notably Lord Vader and Lord Voldemort – I don’t have any sense that these people are evil,” said Watson. From the new Private Eye, out now.
Whenever someone says that electricity is expensive because of decarbonisation, there are only two possibilities Either they are knowingly lying to you Or they are the victims of disinformation, and have been fooled by someone who was lying to them

The amazing thing is that he isn't getting Copilot to do it from scratch - it is very much the direct plagiarism thing I have been talking about!!! bsky.app/profile/keta...
This is a good illustration of how so much of AI theft isn't indirect (ie, data sucked into a model to train the chatbot) - it's actually **direct** copying, but *enabled* by GenAI. Of course it is: chatbots absolutely suck at creating good, new stuff.

Not enough appreciation of my song extolling CARLIN PEAS. You all just aren't ready for the concept of carlin peas. But I urge you to consider becoming ready.
Mild nutty flavour, more robust texture than garden peas. I have composed a song for the Carlin Pea Marketing Board: Oh, Carlin peas, Carlin peas. These are the peas that always please. Some for me? Please don't tease! I'll eat all these peas with ease.
