Totally. As a poor white woman, I feel failed too. I saw in my non-white colleagues (I had those) something like a sigh and very quiet rage as students bought into her. Having to say to your students, “Bullshit, you see colour, you have eyes, this isn’t the video for Free Your Mind” was b/c Steinem.
