Show me yours! Where it starter versus where it ended up. #art #tradart #acrylic Had a team building workshop and had about 15 min to sketch out responses to 4 questions, then 20 min to pick one to paint. Had't touched a paintbrush in years and given the time limit I'm pretty happy with it.

A difficult thing I've been through sketched in the top right as a self portrait with a ponderous expression torn between the staying in Wisconsin, represented by cheese, and taking a job in coastal Washington, represented by coastal bluffs. In the bottom right is a sketch of my spouse, a woman with long hair, represents an influential person in my life. The final sketch in the bottom left shows a sketch of a bald man walking away down a path in the woods as a response to something I love about myself and intended to represent my ability and comfort to enjoy time alone existing in the moment.

Reading "What Feasts At Night" by @tkingfisher.com and when I got to this passage I simply couldn't read the word 'Laudanum' without hearing it in head being delivered by @gianster98.bsky.social in the same admonishing tone from @poe-evermore.bsky.social. 😆
