Merci à @francesca-b.bsky.social de m'avoir interrogée dans le cadre de son article sur le masculinisme d'Althusser tout juste paru sur @voxeu.org. Sans surprise, j'y évoque la belle carrière de sociologue effectuée par Legotien à partir des années 1950.

"Hélène Legotien était quelqu'un qui a mené, avec les moyens dont elle disposait et malgré les contraintes de l'époque, une belle carrière de chercheuse", ajoute Rondeau du Noyer. "Et qui a inspiré des personnes encore en vie aujourd'hui, qui témoignent du fait qu'elle leur a appris des choses, qu'elle les a formées."

One of my most exciting days in the French national archives was when I suddenly found German and Dutch language flyers in a folder full of material about the Moussems, a remarkable transeuropean festival series. In this blog, I discuss them as a "past alternative" of "immigrant Europeanization".

I would really like to include this image from a trans rights protest in my book, Common Sense and Its Others, with an eye on the placard "Your Common Sense Isn't Our Common Sense," but I can find the original source to ask for permission (I've tried google image reverse search). Any ideas anyone?

Benedikt Gambé wurde nach dem 1.WK durch einen Kolonialoffizier von Kamerun nach Deutschland gebracht. In der Weimarer Republik spielte er Schlagzeug in einer Band. Nachdem er Berufsverbot erhielt, war er gezwungen auf der sog. "Afrika Schau" zu arbeiten. 1940 wurde er zwangseingeliefert & ermordet.
