This is sad news. Simon was a big help with this story that showed Howard Lutnick apparently lied about his business entanglement with Jeffrey Epstein—a story that deserves more attention. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
New details from Epstein files reveal Lutnick had years-long business tie with sex offender
The commerce secretary apparently still hasn't come clean on his connection with Epstein.

“Former British banker and whistleblower Simon Andriesz, who outed Howard Lutnick’s links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has died by suicide.”
A 10K contribution and a $900 million return. The scale of the graft in Homeland Security is a) off the charts and b) possible because no-one believes they will face any accountability
In her last hours as DHS Secy, Noem's agency bought 5 planes from a donor at markups. In all, DHS gave $900M in contracts to that donor’s companies during her term. One plane had electronic bidets, 2 bedrooms, bar, wine chiller, a manta-ray skin table. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/04/u...
10.04.2026 U.S Midterms Election Projections - House 🟦 235 🟥 200 - Senate 🟦 54 🟥 46 - Governors 🟦 25 🟥 25 - Analysis Not much change since last week, but I fixed a data entry error with AZ Gov which accidently had it Likely R when its actually in the Likely D column according to the model.
AI is now the biggest investment in all of US history as a percentage of GDP. Datacenter construction is up, all other construction is down. "AI Is Squeezing Out the Rest of the Stock Market," reported WSJ 2 days ago. We basically bet the whole economy on the most optimistic visions panning out.
Part of why I don't like the AI-or-bust economy is the constant flopsweat of people on the news who say this HAS to work. Quit making everyone so anxious. Goddamn. If this is the next Google then why are you acting like this? I don't remember being told to buy an iPhone at gunpoint.
Enjoy that last little bit of the weekend, friends

Trump: "I take an aspirin a day. I don't know if it works but psychologically I need it. It thins the hell out of your blood I guess ... They want me to go down to the 80. I take the 386. I don't know what the hell it is. It's a monster. They said, 'Sir, you don't need that!'"
ohio we will be unmerciful in our mockery if you elect this guy
Oh yeah that’s the good stuff
The guy who spent the better part of the last two years insulting Europeans and Canadians wants a big favor. First he wasted our (the U.S.) reserves. Now he wants to waste theirs.
Oh, so now we’re all in this together.
Christianity through Trump has turned into a complete grift
In 1970, students in a fifth-grade class at Hawthorne School in Beverly Hills were assigned to write a letter to someone they admired, asking them “What makes a good citizen?" So 10yr old Joel Lipton wrote to Peanuts cartoonist Charles M. Schulz. Joel got a reply.
“We’re gonna get wiped out in the midterms, send help.”
Oh, so now we’re all in this together.
“Thanks for coming Mr. Trump”

Trump campaigns for Ken Paxton in Texas: "He can be a pain in the ass sometimes, I'll be honest. Is he here, by the way? Oh, there he is. I didn't even know if he was here! I don't care."
Trump's problem was that he didn't brag enough. That was it
Trump: "There's never been a job done like we've done, but we haven't gotten the word out. So I say we've done a bad public relations job, but a great management job, and that's more important, right?"
