Bayesian analyses are great, but making the right model is very challenging. Come work with me on implementing efficient Bayesian multiverses, where we help researchers across empirical domains to improve their models! More information on the Radboud University website: www.ru.nl/en/working-a...

holy fucking shit - see Claude Code (Opus 5.5) rip through a survey eligility test I was really proud of... It requires tracing a route through designated points on a map with server-side Javascript applying eligibility criteria. (1.5 min video)

Unfortunate, yet understandable and clearly very carefully deliberated course changes at OSF. Anyone who's worked on anything OS related knows that getting funding for exciting new projects is hard, let alone sustained, long term funding. OSF has been the foundation for many improvements in science.

Over the next several months, we will phase out some popular OSF features. These changes do not affect current public content, which remains safe and accessible. We have prepared support material to help users adapt. I am very sorry for the disruption to your work. Please read this post for details.

We still have a few spots left for our 2026 version of the hybrid JASP Workshop week end of August featuring a day on Discovering Statistics, a day on State-of-the-art Meta Analyses, a day on Machine learning, and two days on Bayesian hypothesis testing😊 (also single days) jasp-stats.org/workshops/

Workshops - JASP - Free and User-Friendly Statistical Software

The JASP team is excited to support four workshops this year (2026). Each of these workshops can be attended either in person (at the University of Amsterdam) or online: On Monday August 24th, we orga...

Have you used Bayes factor to test point-null hypotheses in Hierarchical models and wondered: 1. Bridge sampling (BS) or Savage-Dickey density ratio (SDDR)? 2. If SDDR, which density estimation method? 3. How many MCMC samples? 4. What's the cost-benefit trade-off? This may be of interest to you.

How to best estimate Bayes factors for standard hypothesis tests? We compared bridge sampling and the Savage-Dickey density ratio. The latter does a good job in most constellations typical for experiments in cognitive psychology.
