A US-born woman born was confronted by sheriff deputies in Louisiana who were convinced her ID and social security card were fakes. They turned her over to ICE, who shackled her & took her an hour away. Even after a lawyer convinced ICE of the woman's citizenship the sheriff says they did no wrong

Glad to finally see this kind of coverage regarding sea level rise in the Chesapeake and Atlantic coast. Surreal also to see a PBS program with a Patreon, but that’s where we are in the US atm.

The first thing Virginia Spanberger did after being sworn in as Governor of Virginia was repeal Youngkin’s executive order requiring state and local law enforcement to cooperate with ICE. This is the kind of leadership Democratic governors nationwide should be emulating.
