Who fought for the environment, for LGBTQIA rights, for unions and protecting workers, for Indigenous rights You can be a national treasure and have emotions, be a big softie, love animals, and be unafraid to use your privilege and status to fight for progressive causes

Thinking about Sam Neill and reflecting on how some of the grief is for the epitome of the modern New Zealand Man Both a typical Southern Bloke, but also cried when asked about his parents, about being in Hunt for the Wilderpeople, who cuddled ducks, and laughed at his own expense Manosphere, who?

E Tū E Kī: They Don’t Speak for Us - Block the Definition of Woman Bill

It's Trans Day of Visibility today. If you're trans and are raising money for something (I don't care what it is), reply to this thread and I will boost you. If you are a cis person, take a look and find someone to support if you can. Everyone give this a share after.

If you are outraged about what Kansas is doing to trans people— criminalizing their very right to exist, seizing drivers licenses overnight and saying if they drive thereafter it’s a crime, which puts them into the PIC under their gender assigned at birth where rape is routine—I BEG YOU

I’m spending some time on sewing this long weekend, and I decided to start with something small - a new wrist-mounted pin cushion to replace the one I made several years ago using the same pattern (its elastic strap is now a bit small). I went with a velcro strap for the new one for adjustability.

A pincushion made from dark floral quilting fabric, cinched in the centre with a small golden bead. It’s attached to my wrist with a strap and stuck with pearl headed pins.

My Bereket sweater is coming along! It’s been my weekend few-rows-here-and-there project for the last couple of months, and I’m very nearly done with the second textured section. I’m hoping to have it finished before winter rolls around, and I think my chances are looking good. 🤞🏼 #knitsky
