Genuinely driving me insane to see even well intentioned fans of ai not mentioning the various hydra heads of this issue at all — high schoolers sharing deepfaked nudes of classmates, nudify sites, an icloud nude leak quantity of fake salacious photos generated probably each month
I feel as though if Hank Green is like “yeah, maybe I’m relying on it too much”, I don’t really think you can talk about him like he’s experiencing a psychosis, certainly not compared to, like, idk, Sam Altman who’s like “idea: make a podcast about my son’s soccer game”
“Democratic candidate X is going to deservedly lose in November because (right wing talking point)” is a pretty bad thing to say pre-primary but it’s immensely dumb and toxic to say post-primary
I’m gonna lose leftist cred for this, but I think McMorrow would’ve won this primary 60/40 over either candidate
So this is basically one of the entry points to becoming a reactionary
Looks like a 10-15 point polling miss in Michigan regardless of who wins. And people have been writing a lot of electability takes using this data. It’s dangerous out there folks be safe
