My position on Hasan Piker remains unchanged: I am 47 years old. I just don’t care about Twitch streamers.
a prominent member of Film Twitter told me to "Suck his dick" just because i said that my favorite movie is the tv show Scrubs
Mike Rogers just held a rally where he hugged Donald Trump, embraced him on stage. Did any of you hear about that? The media wants you to think that Rogers' association with the President is less relevant for the public to be informed about than Abdul El-Sayed's association with a Twitch streamer.
New EPIC MRA poll shows Trump’s approval has sunk to 30 percent in Michigan
a 21 year old attempting a re litigating y'all usage parameters should not be a thing I have to be aware of. I already grinded a much higher level build from this exact dungeon. I should have access to post-game discourse bosses now with multiple 9999/9999 health bars. fuck this
Andrew Bujalski already did this. it's called Support the Girls and it rocks.

if I had presidential aspirations, I would be making clear that anyone who tries to take this sale has another thing coming
“This is so ridiculous, it makes you sick,” said Don Neubacher, a former supervisor at Yosemite. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/28/u...
They sell ANDOR action figures, of course, and of course the audience is 35-50-year-olds, but it's deeply funny to imagine children playing with little Luthen Rael and Saw Gerrera dolls. CHILD 1: I think violence is not only justified, but demanded CHILD 2: I agree, but haste could be our undoing
It’s not the worst thing about all this but there’s something particularly egregious about speaking in the third person AND turning your last name into a verb.
Laura Loomer is taking credit for Milo getting detained by ICE.
The pitch of the Democratic leadership, Democratic-adjacent pundits like Chait, and Democratic consultant firms touting 'popularism' is that Trump is an existential threat so every Dem must sacrifice to win general elections at all costs. But on this issue, they'd rather lose than sacrifice.

Ah, kayfabe (like is Haberman going to have credentials revoked? No, of course not, because Trump likes being profiled in the Times and he knows her)
This just in from the White House
Nothing to see here, just Milo last year saying he contacted "some friends in senior positions at ICE" to go after the Menswear Guy in an effort to get him deported for mocking JD Vance. "Enjoy Vietnam little buddy."
I think AES has it right. The media won’t be satisfied with self-flagellation or throwing people overboard. You have to point out that they’re pushing a story and are the ones who are indifferent to more pressing issues.
Abdul El-Sayed takes issue with Katy Tur wondering why he's keeping Hasan Piker "so close" and "not fully disassociate yourself with him," saying this is "why a lot of people get so frustrated about politics and political media, because it doesn’t actually speak to the challenges they face."
it is in fact just the media, which has devoted more attention to this than it has to the fact that multiple republican lawmakers are dealing with “we hired nazis” scandals and that the “we hired nazis” problem extends to the white house
Tur: It’s not just the media, and I reject that framing. 6 in 10 Americans don’t know who he is. I’m not saying he’s the most important person in the world, but...is it worth losing votes you need to win? AES: 10 in 10 Americans agree that they can’t afford the things that they need in their lives.
I do not have young kids, so help my buddy out.
Someone with young kids pls tell me how COYOTE VS ACME is for a 7yo.
There was like... a brief moment in time in 2024 when the press found out that Trump was spending a bunch of time with Laura Loomer and asking him to disavow her. But he just sort of shrugged it off and then the press completely forgot about it. This... seems way more obsessive.

IS GOD IS definitely lived up to the hype. A remarkably assured directorial debut and thoughtful spin on the revenge thriller with great performances across the board.
Most of these "moderate" outlets alternative between "Sister Soulja moment" stories about the radicals who Democrats need to distance themselves from and glowing portraits of white nationalists who are trying to go mainstream by softening their rhetoric slightly. It makes what they're doing obvious.

I've been revisiting my 2021 book How to Argue With a Racist, in light of the Cofnas situation - i didn't name him or the scientifically illiterati with who he breaks bread. But I thought these sections from the end might be of interest.
I think this is pretty much the most scathing thing you could say about Dave Filoni’s entire approach to STAR WARS.
Here's @codyjohnston.bsky.social explaining The Mandalorian and Grogu movie that nobody saw
some very good Kyle Chandler/Leo DiCaprio lore here.
Even though GTA VI looks good, I think I'm more excited for this.

While I'm not surprised the NFL is continuing to partner with Twitter, you're just asking to court controversy because every few days the site's owner will retweet something like "Blacks are subhuman, but the woke left won't acknowledge the science."

Someone's going to lose a job or two over this insane last-minute switch in the marketing push on this film. I want to know who in the fuck thought "The Rise of Robin Hood" was the way to go two weeks before release.
