No, I think the useful way to think about it is if you make something and say “this thing I’m making will kill everyone,” you should go to jail. For threatening to kill everyone. Or at the very least, they should prohibit you from working on the thing, that you said you would kill everyone with.

That all of these 'AI breaks containment' "incidents" were outsourced to the same vendor (called Irregular [irregular dot com]) is something that never clicked for me before. Yeah, I'm flipping position on this, these were stunts. They hired Irregular so they could pretend they didn't know.

Irregular created a sandbox that wasn't really a sandbox because it had a live internet connection, and gave instructions that were then carried out online.
