I've had some really cool opportunities that simply came my way despite me just doing my own thing in my own little corner. A lot of that luck was from me making genuine connections without considering someone's position or title at the time. You just never know who someone will become later in life
Gonna be real: it's deeply shitty to aggressively demand that artists who worked on a large project guarantee to you that nobody who touched the project used AI. They can't know that and they're not responsible for that. They can only know things within the scope of their own job.
You'll not convince me this isn't the historically accurate Odysseus.
Can we have less dysfunction in the industry?
One animator put it plainly: “You have no idea how frustrating it is to see press release after press release touting how much money our animated film made and how many nominations we got; then [the studio] turns to people who have worked here forever and says, ‘We don’t need you anymore.’” Heh.
Don’t know who to credit for this. But it is how I feel.
"Pokemon" is short for "pocket monsters". "Digimon" is short for "digital monsters". Therefore, "salmon" is short for "saltwater monsters". (You might object: salmon spend a big part of their life in freshwater. But pokemon spend a big part of their life outside pockets too!)
If you're not used to this weather, please take it seriously. Hydrate more than you think you have to, and watch your time in the sun. It will take you out faster than you'll realize.
I'm a big fan of media analysis but sometimes the best form of media analysis is letting a piece of art sit with you, making you feel weird in a way you can't understand or explain, until one day you have a life experience and you remember the piece of art and you realize that you understand it now
was talking about it on stream but I feel like a lot of discourse about media literacy these days could be avoided if people were more willing to be like, a good ending version of ulysses ogre. Like admitting to yourself you just don't get something but being cool with it
How does The Princess Bride do such a good job at drawing you into this beautiful, whimsical story. It's so masterfully made.

Doing your own mocap is pretty funny because I can be like *points at character slapping someone* That's me. *points at character getting slapped* That is also me.
Don't mind me, I just found a good excuse to repost my Majora's Mask saga with the new 10 photos feature.
An indie developer is working with Jacob Geller to explain the subtleties within their new game’s narrative to media illiterate players. paletteswap.site/dif...
types of mutual on social media: * your buddy you riff with all the time * someone you used to riff with but are pretty sure has you muted at this point * person you admire who followed you back somehow and gives you a jumpscare every time they like a post * we interacted one time years ago
