The road to fascism was paved with "Reddit atheist" and "shrill feminist" and "blue hair and pronouns". The vanguard wasn't the rabid reactionaries. It was the "normals", "apoliticals", who tolerate occasional sexist comments but mock the "cringe" of well-meaning and earnest but awkward people.

Huh. Maybe we should put Jared Leto in a few more movies in key roles and leave a few more franchise creators destitute with medical issues leaving tremendously bad tastes in everyone’s mouths and see if that solves Hollywood’s box office problem. Surely that will fix this! 🤔

The aim of the organised transphobic movement is to mandate trans people out of existence, they won't be happy until their targets are dead, it's a movement motivated by genocidal mania, and the cruel, vindictive, hateful bigotry extends from there.
Aidan Comerford@aidancomerford.bsky.social · 5mo agoThis tweet is highly defamatory and Martina Navratilova should be fired from BBC Sport for it. It demonstrates an horrendous level of hatred for a trans woman (who was cleared of all wrongdoing in a recent tribunal) because she is a trans woman.
Americans fear logging onto social media and being told 'we hate you and your entire country', the rest of the world fears being bombed, starved, and deprived of energy by the US, so.
Almost every moderate anti-US person I know has shifted from "well, we are getting murdered by the US government but we hope the US population will do better in the future" to "the US population will just let their government murder us, why should we afford them any grace or kindness"
when i was a baby transfem i saw a meme that was like "transmascs valiantly protecting transfems after she starts experiencing misogyny cus he knows what it was like" and back then i felt reassured but if i saw that meme now id be like man fuck off
Anyways the New York Times is inarguably a pro-fash, pro-transphobia, pro-war publication that needs to be treated like the shameful rag it is, and not some sort of storied institution beyond reproach. Especially in this environment, and especially with its ongoing behavior.
