‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY’ officially had the biggest domestic opening weekend OF ALL TIME. The film actually earned $360M, beating ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

Things to look out for on my YouTube channel in the future, for anyone who feels inclined: I'll be making a few video essays on Firefly and Angel, as well as a VLOG/documentary on the Lucas Museum, which I'm visiting in November!

You should really appreciate people that empower you and lift you up. It's those people that are heroes and make the world a better place. The people who inspire and encourage people, who live their life trying to find the good in others and bring it out. We need more people like that.

Asking "Desired salary" on a job application portal when you've already listed the salary range on the job listing is one of the most obnoxious things employers can do, and it always takes everything iota of self control I have to not write in "livable wage" whenever I see it.

After a full year of research and writing, I'm finally putting all of the disparate sections for my masters' thesis together into the format template assigned by my university. Word count so far (I'm not even close to done)

The Resistance base is literally just Telletubbyland but grey and with no flowers!

It really sucks how every planet in the Star Wars prequels were breathtaking and super unique and iconic but every live action Disney SW planet is always either "grey junkyard", "Mojave Desert" or "uuhh grassy I guess lol" (Andor innocent as usual)

I should rise above this and laugh at a trash take from an irrelevant source, but no this fully pisses me off

jstor is cutting their monthly free article limit from 100 to TEN??? ten articles??? per month? I'm lucky that I have a real job now so I can just request permission to expense the extra $200 per year this change is going to cost me, but that's not the case for everyone who wants to learn!!!

It's funny that every Resident Evil game features a new asshole going "oh my god I have discovered this obviously extremely terrible thing, I am going to use it to become as a god" and then getting transformed into a weird monster. And each one *knows* about all the previous assholes who did this.

Like in most of these games someone *tells* them "hey dude don't inject that mold into your neck, you saw what happened to Steve last year" And he's like "YOLO BITCH" and bam, now he's going through awkward monster puberty while someone keeps bullying him about his shoulder eyeball.

Like you just know that the decision to inject the virus or parasite or mold didn't happen overnight, they clearly had been thinking about it for a while. You just know they were sending drunk messages to their friends like "Bob I'm gonna do it I'm gonna inject myself with the parasite tonight"
