SNES Central is a website that is dedicated to documenting everything related to the Super Nintendo, including packaging, PCBs and obscurities like unreleased games and prototypes. Also posting random gaming stuff I see in Japan. http://snescentral.com

I finally made it to the Showa themed izakaya on my island, and they had a big pile of Super Famicom games. I told the waitress that I own at least half of these!

Here's the first footage of the cancelled SNES/SFC port of Railroad Tycoon to ever be posted online, captured from my promotional tape made by the would-be Japanese publisher. For a long time, the only evidence of the game's existence was two blurry Nintendo Power screenshots!

It is hard to get excited about new Nintendo games when it seems that a lot of what they put out is just remakes of stuff released in the 90s. It is clear that Nintendo thinks that the only market for big games are people who grew up in the 90s. Maybe they are right?

Typhoon Dolphin knocked out the power at my place today. Since it was too dangerous to go out, I made progress on the SNES Central database. It now has the ability to add ROM images.

People tell me that it's OK to keep reposting old artwork and that you can never do too much promotion. Piffle, I say. Folks are sick enough of me as it is yet here I am again on #portfolioday selling my soul so I can afford to buy booze for t'baby.
