Here’s where I convince you that I’m legit. I am, indeed, legit. Shitlib. Misanthrope. Obscure 1990’s movie criminal. Dark Brandon acolyte. Blocked by David Klion, David Sirota, Hunter Walker, and Helen Lewis.

To the extent there are problems with The System, they’re largely (1) poor people suffer, (2) women suffer, and (3) people of color suffer. These are all things RFK likes about The System. To give him credit for “shaking things up” is to out yourself as either a eugenicist or a dumbfuck. Or both.

You actually don't have to do the "well, you know, I disagree with MAHA but they're right that there are real problems with The System" thing. That's a concession you absolutely do not have to make.

Federalist 51: “ambition must be made to counteract ambition.” That made for a system of checks and balances that mostly worked. Until some politicians with ambition to overthrow the Constitution met up with politicians whose highest ambition is attention on social media and a pat on the head.

Almost *everything* you see in this format, whether infinite power cubes or solar powered houses for the homeless that fold out of suitcases or French "bread libraries" for the poor is liberal catnip bullshit by content farms. Stop being idiots. Thank you.

People like easy answers example one thousand. People aren’t selfish. People don’t make illogical choices. It’s a nefarious other tricking them into making these decisions, in this example capital. I found this on Twitter years ago and it’s still relevant.

there is a strain of lefty discourse where you can’t come to any unflattering conclusions about the populace—those must be explained away by how they are being acted upon by capital—but I think you’ll understand things better if you understand capital can also exploit weaknesses it didn’t create

I don’t know man, but maybe disenfranchising an entire group for a nebulous outcome isnt something we should support if we actually believe in Democracy. Max Miller is 37. Graham Platner is 41. Clearly youth is no guarantee of quality.

Pilots have to retire at 65. FEderal law enforcement officers, 57 (with some extensions to 60.) Surely we can agree that people over the age of—70? 75?—should not be allowed to run for federal office.

Europeans who side with Russia today are doing the exact same thing as WWII collaborators who backed Hitler and Stalin against their own countries. Plain and simple, they are traitors

I think my most genuinely unpopular take is that a widely held and genuine consumer preference for cheaper, lower-quality goods, not private equity, is driving the decline in quality of consumer goods like clothing and housewares.
