Angie Craig is going to pull lots of votes from the “addled suburban retirees” and “cute AI cat video” fans. You HAVE to outwork people’s stupidity and bring out new voters. And not just anyone, because many people are median voters (a.k.a. morons). Only bring people out once you talk to them.

I am permanently disabled because of these disappearing appointments, delayed scans, and capacity limits for physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs. The effects of how we handled this will be felt for generations, and the trauma and moral injury to front-line workers persists to this day.

People were not only dying from COVID. They were dying because scans were delayed, appointments disappeared, symptoms went unchecked, and fear kept them from coming to the hospital. Some died alone at home. Others died alone in ICU rooms while their families said goodbye through a screen. Years later, it is easy to reduce that time to hearings, policies, numbers, and empty beds. Healthcare workers do not remember COVID as a debate. We remember the people. Please do not rewrite that. @optimal_rn
