Democratic socialist this, liberal that, conservative this… Yes, some of us organize our beliefs around these labels. Yes, some of these labels can be made scary by political elites. But, despite v old arguments on this topic, we often project onto others our own sophisticated thoughts abt this.
It would be substantialy more reasonable to require everyone in the legislature to resign if 80% of voters reject an amendment they proposed.
Makes me think of Zuckerberg’s “but people have a demand for 5.5 friends, so let’s put ai bots everywhere!)
