This is true of so, so, so many things. You can try a game of saying, “hey, what would be true if both my experience and this fact that feels opposite of my experience were true at the same time”. I think it is really useful. You don’t have live in that space but its okay to play in it.

I think of it that there are two types of importance. The importance of me being me and what I need. And the importance of me being a part of things and impacting others and my world in small ways just by being there and present

I can’t believe I have to make this statement but here it is: There are experts who believe in BOTH modern vaccines and medicines AND traditional plant medicine/ natural remedies. And we dont really conjure the media or capture audiences like the extremists do. 👀

We signed our lease today, which means I can tell you Good Girl Books will be located at 7685 W Northshore Drive between Richy Kreme donuts and Flourish flowers in Knoxville! We bought a can of pink paint today! IT’S HAPPENING! (Also donuts, flowers, and romance novels is a helluva day!)

Whelp, I have some big news! My good friend Rayanne has been running a mobile romance book truck for the last year, and she’s done so well that it’s time to open a brick and mortar. And that’s where I come in! I’m going into business with her to bring Good Girl Books THE STORE to Knoxville!

Rayanne and her golden retriever Poppy in front of a pink truck with bookshelves on the back full of romance books a smutty merch!

All of this. Public Radio affiliates are often the only thing on the dial in the rural U.S. that isn’t right-wing talk radio or Christian proselytizing (is there a difference these days ha hah ugh) and they do so much good, necessary reporting, even if they don’t get everything right

A quick and typed-on-my-phone-riddled-with-typos thread about why I think people need to support NPR/PBS, even though they did post that one interview you didn't like:
