People are so Capitalism-pilled that they see "user number big" as preferable + a reason Bluesky is "lesser" than other social media. But consider this: I don't want to be in a bigger, angrier, shittier crowd of people. I want to be in the smaller, curated, better behaved and more loyal crowd.

Sound effects are created using "BFXR", a tool I stumbled across ages ago. It can create a random sound that you can then adjust as you see fit before saving it out as a wav file. (Available on Itch io)
Music is created using 1BitDragon, a simple drag-and-drop tool. It's perfect if you have an ear for music but zero ability to PLAY. Just more the notes where they need to be. (Available on both Itch io and Steam)
As I've been asked a few times: these are the tools I use to build my games. The engine used is "Clickteam Fusion 2.5". I've been using various incarnations of the software since 1994, with "Klik & Play". The familiarity I have with the engine is why I've stuck with it.

thinking about the popularity of so many "redraw trends" and plagiarism of compositions by all sorts of artists (it comes up often for gposing but 2D artists do it too). i have to sum up my discomfort with it as follows: it's artists treating other artists the same way A/I treats art as data
