We're on the brink of extinction with climate change and motherfucker is messing with our orbital gravity and tides with our tax dollars. And our government is "yeah, might be bad, but he let's us make CSAM, what can you do." I feel like I'm taking crazy pills, we should be at guillotine stage rn

"what can I do?" Call your reps and tell them to vote no on the Online Safety bill package because things will get worse the more censorship laws are allowed to pass. Tell your reps that payment processors must allow legal content. Go yell at youtube for their shitty TOS.

"Voluntary ignorance is a condition of surrendering your will to another through sublation. With knowledge comes agency, guilt, responsibility, and an obligation to act. This is the real practice of democracy, not just voting."

Some people have fully accepted the idea that the public ought to be forbidden the information we need to govern ourselves. This allows them to remain infantilized and abdicate responsibility for self-governance. The frantic insistence that the patriarch knows best has a lot of echoes of the Pandora’s Box, Garden of Eden, type of strictures against women obtaining knowledge, for the same reason. Voluntary ignorance is a condition of surrendering your will to another through sublation. With knowledge comes agency, guilt, responsibility, and an obligation to act. This is the real practice of democracy, not just voting.

A great way to make sure Playstation hears you and REVERSES COURSE is by canceling pre-orders, especially on big-ticket games like GTA-VI. The whole gaming market is keeping an eye on games like that and expects to move consoles. Vote with your wallets means something in this regard.

"We’re going to cautiously move this forward" - Sony says it hears the PlayStation disc backlash but will continue its plans. CFO Lin Tao said its focus was on trying to "engage the gamers" in "the future digital ecosystem". www.videogameschronicle.com/news/were-go...

In Salem Or where I live there have been plans to build this massive $5 billion dollar data center and we didnt learn about it until a few weeks ago because the fucking city council signed an NDA agreement to keep it secret. Everyone is rightfully PISSED. www.oregonlive.com/silicon-fore...

Salem residents rage against proposed data center and city NDA that kept plans secret
