As much as I enjoy The Majority Report, the constant Graham Platner glazing has been turning me off of them. Supporting him in the Maine race is the correct strategic move, but acting like he's some amazing politician is nuts to me.
The worst part for me was the playing dumb :"no one knows that symbol, I certainly don't " Have you ever seen a ww2 movie? Why are you lying to me? He actually enjoyed killing people. "well war changes people" He went back for seconds and thirds. Go fuck yourselves.!
The people who mock the "vote blue no matter who" mentality are now acting like Platner is a flawless candidate and that anybody who's remotely skeptical of him is a purity testing shitlib, it's insane. And the way The Majority Report hosts etc fawn over him and treat him like a celeb is shameful

I'm not going to obsess over the Platner situation, but Seder and Vigeland over at the Majority Report are being really selective and unfair to Platner's critics. There are some of us who are not doing purity tests and we are coming from the left.

The flippancy with which Majority Report completely disregards the concerns of people who feel wary of Platner because of his Nazi tattoo and multiple appearances on Nazi podcasts is deeply annoying.
It's a shame that the Majority Report people are 100% in on Platner. Reminds me of when Emma made her prediction that there was no way Kamala would lose and looked like a complete moron mere hours later.
I’d love to be proven, but I have very very bad feelings about Platner, and I do not like how prominent platforms like say, The Majority Report, are willing to overlook all of this rightfully very concerning and alarming stuff about him.
I would give fucking anything for Majority Report to shut the fuck up about Platner and not being the smuggest dickheads when anyone voices their concerns about him.

I can't count how many times there was an interesting exchange I was kind of invested in, only for one party to get fed up and block the thread and therefore make it lost to everyone.
Also bluesky is also kind of shit. The nuclear block is a cowards weapon which suppresses discourse.
X is a cesspool, to be sure, but bluesky is a ridiculous bubble forming machine where people never have to hear from people who disagree with them. The fact that you can just nuke a thread entirely because someone disagrees with you is not that attractive to most people. Hide and run ass platform.
