There are already articles circulating trying to rewrite history and say America was great after 9/11 and united and thoughtful and just a reminder that that period was marked by intense and insanely racist hatred, paranoia, and a frothing desire for unhinged violence and oppression.

the Seanad isn't a powerful body by any means, but senators can still wield influence over legislation. and it's stupid that university graduates get our own representatives, but as long as we do, we should use our vote to put people who'll do us proud into the Oireachtas

for relatively weak short term gains they weren't even slightly good at cynically capitalising on! Local Link should have made huge inroads for the Greens in rural Ireland, but they didn't aggressively frame it as their policy. now they're out, rollout of Local Link has slowed to a crawl

The public transport fare hike thing makes me so mad that both times the Green Party has been in a position to build long term success it has decided to blow itself up for relatively weak short term gains

I'm gonna start writing all my social media posts as though I am speaking about a universal experience not one particular to me and my friends it seems like fun

Message boards were a much better way for people to discuss their niche interests rather than on social media platforms, where everyone can see them
