"Labor will ensure working women do not retire into poverty" using "superannuation". Too bad about non-working women, I guess. Championing super as a poverty reduction tool is goofball stuff. The Age Pension sets the floor, super is the supplement linked to past earnings.

ALP conference somehow even more sauceless than everyone thought it would be this year. Not you, internet smart guy. You already knew it would be bad. I mean even among attendees who had properly calibrated their expectations to 'zero'.

Some absolutely brutal figures from the ABS on tobacco consumption - figures that really should have those arguing that the higher excise is working to really have a long think...

A graph showing that overall tobacco consumption has risen over the past decade - almost all became the fall in legal tobacco has been replaced by more consumption of illegal cigarettes

I feel much of the AI hate is from people who pride themselves on their own writing. Human nature overstates the importance of our own skills, and here it overstates the significance of the writing process itself as a condition of analytical and critical rigour.

Rishworth: "I am really sick of this debate of 'too soft' or 'too hard' mutual obligations. I want to see effective mutual obligations" You're sick of the debate? Imagine how all the people you're torturing in this system feel
