Had a hip replacement. Walked the same day, with painkillers and crutches. Walked a few days later without the crutches and in a few days more without the painkillers. I’m in my 40s and the hip should last the rest of my life. None of this was the case when my arthritis was diagnosed 20 years ago.

Medical advances. All of them. I was told in 2006 when I went into a t1 diabetic coma that if I'd showed up to ER in state I was in 20 years before, I'd be dead. We got a COVID vaccine in a YEAR. Spouse has a friend w/a major brain aneurysm who SURVIVED. And no one smokes inside anymore!!!!!!!!!

Going to have to wake her up soon because that’s not where she sleeps…

Extremely worried about my elderly aunt, who has a broken jaw from a fall, and Palmerston North Hospital has told her to catch a bus Palmy to Hutt Valley on her own today to get surgery, and bus back after - my aunt is forgetful, has no cellphone (we've tried) on one of the coldest days of the year

My sister has moved house so I told her she needs to update her details on the electoral roll because same day registration is no longer possible. She had no idea about the changes. Will there be an advertising campaign? Otherwise people won't know and will be turned away on election day. #nzpol
