Elizabeth Cronise McLaughlin@ecmclaughlin.bsky.social · 2mo agoI cannot say this loudly enough: we need everyone to know what is happening at Delaney Hall. 300 detainees inside are on Day 7 of a hunger and labor strike as of today. ICE is beating, gassing, tasing and assaulting protestors outside every night, and it is getting worse.
As of this morning, storage is slim at Delaney for family related things like clothes and stuffed animals for visiting children. Donating money and protest supplies for now is the way to go.

This dude is so fucking fascist it’s astonishing. It’s just bullshit after bullshit against Dems and particularly Black dems all the way down. Justin Jones and Justin Pearson are fighters, though, and will not quit no matter what.

All of his businesses and property should be nationalized and dissolved and he should be stripped of literally every single asset and dollar. Put him in public housing and let him live off of whatever UBI the next Congress passes.

How are voters meant to understand how serious things are if in lieu of shouting fire AND going into building with hoses, you're simply posting fire safety suggestions on social media? Not introducing articles of impeachment is a message that Trump hasn't committed impeachable offenses.

The policy went into effect on Monday.
The normalization of this madness is so quick that we’re debating whether a second illegal strike was wrong after an initial illegal strike with no proof of any crime and we’ve already seen just random murders of fishermen normalized with the excuse they’re running drugs, which isn’t legal either.
