A *huge* amount of good note-taking is knowing what to leave out (digressive rambles, a bunch of the discussion that gets you to the conclusion/decision, etc.) and automated note taking does none of that, which makes it excruciating to revisit if you need to get to decisions and deliverables
Tressie McMillan Cottom@tressiemcphd.bsky.social · 4d agoAnyway, your problem isn‘t finding the time to take notes. The problem is that taking notes is thinking and thinking has to be done by someone. women have been doing a lot of metacognition that looks like a task when it’s really thinking.

Sure is interesting how the moment a lot of women/girls/AFAB folks start being diagnosed with something, suddenly we get an upswing in 'it's overdiagnosed'/'it's not real'/'it's just a fad'.
Finally getting a chance to dive into this, and feeling very smug for having twigged at the top of page 3 to the fact that [spoiler revealed on page 4]. Seriously looking forward to the rest of it. This is my first @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social book, but I'm certain it won't be my last.
keep thinking about the evil of this. It's not just destroying the physical books, bad as that is. They are trying to remove the underpinnings of knowledge, destroy all the accumulated wisdom - and silliness, and creativity, and whatever else humans have thought worthy of writing down.

I was taught formal structured writing, which is a huge body of work that AI stole & trained on. If you're looking at things like sentence structure, punctuation, and word usage, it's probably gonna flag me. 1/2

If the "AI" writes anything like how I write, it's because it stole from me. I'm gonna use any punctuation I like, and if it looks "AI"ish to you, you can go fuck yourself.

But that is absolutely not why the Democratic National Committee is broke. It's broke because voters won't donate to non-fighters.🤷🏿♂️
yeah this is basically how I view the Never Trump folks I am genuinely glad they drew that line! we needed more people to draw that line! they can come and help out and vote for us, but they don’t get to run the show
