An immigration enforcement system that punishes people for the government’s own delay is a system which destroys its own legitimacy. People are being thrown in handcuffs and put in ICE detention despite having done every single thing the U.S. government asked them to do.

New: ICE recently spent over a billion dollars buying two private prisons that they were already using as detention centers. Officials with the two biggest private prison companies say they expect more such deals are coming.

Congressman George Latimer and I conducted an oversight inspection of the Delaney Detention Center. The overwhelming majority of the detainees held there have no criminal history. None. The Trump administration is squandering $1 billion on a detention facility that should not even exist.

Okay, I'm going to answer this question, because it's a big one. Here is how I handled this. 1) I paid money to an online service that will diagnose and prescribe ADHD medications. It does not operate in all states. It's Telehealth.

Would it not be more just to reverse the sentences, giving the longer one to the responsible adult than the 14-year-old kid?

Over in California, in a case challenging efforts to end Venezuela and Haiti TPS, the parties agreed that three claims should be dismissed in light of the SCOTUS ruling. There are two equal protection claims (5, 7) remaining, as well as two APA claims (1, 3) that the plaintiffs say remain.
