St Paul is super backwards still permitting smoking on patios (25 feet or more from a door; no one is measuring). I hate it. Just let me eat/drink without smelling your fucking cigar (or cigarette).

I know people keep saying this but it’s hard to communicate the depth of active resistance here. Like, I’m on random cafes and people are checking in for observation shifts. Signs everywhere. Folks in visibility vests on the corners. It’s wild. Absolutely wild.

In case you missed that this is an update: The woman has died. #SOS wants more of this. I hope @mayorher.bsky.social understands that this is why the Summit Regional plan is a critical need. Not one death is acceptable. We know how to prevent these deaths and have the ability to do so. A choice.

Trying to acclimate to a place with less public transit, but spent the whole day out and about: ALine to Green to Textile Center, bus to (near) St Anthony main for brunch, walk to Nicollet Island Pavilion. Walk to bus. Bus to cafe. Walk to Walker. Home via bus, Blue, ALine. 11am to 8pm. In the snow
