Every time an AI exec opens their mouth.
I get it, we’re all trying to work the hustle and get paid for work and put food on the table. But if you’re using ChatGPT or Claude or Gemini to write your stuff and it reads so badly, you’re just bringing us all down with you, and it sucks.
This is going to make me start writing plothook blogs again out of spite, isn’t it? *Sigh* Gotta finished my Vampire: the Requiem stuff first.

Sad.
"We can't control prices" is a WILD thing for this asshole to say AFTER being implicated in arguably the most infamous price-fixing scheme in Canadian history. They conspired to fix the price of BREAD, ffs! BREAD!!!

I really don't want it. genAI is plaigiarism theftware, it has literally been killing people, it's terrible for the environment. I want to use my own mind to create things—and I want creative people to be valued, not replaced by a goddamned widget.
As a Canadian, I don’t want to be paying into something that was created by stealing other people’s works. AI is unethical and it would be nice if someone in authority would put their big pants on, and scream it out for those of us who can’t.
I'm disgusted by this overreach, if not surprised. This is where the bailouts were always pegged to come from; think tanks convince gov to accept tech industry's framing, swallow the bait without any ethical or equitable oversight, and we are suddenly on the hook; and it's a deep, barbed hook.

I could go on about mazes forever, but far more insidious: AI as mask. What if you could perform the worst atrocities and blame a computer? Who decided to bomb ___? The 'AI' did. Its likely bullshit, but folks are going to use it to deflect blame and accountability for SOOOO many things.
When we talk about AI as a maze and a mask, hallucinations are no longer a bug, but a feature. Flood the zone with a bunch of shit that *might* be right is SO expensive to filter and sort. Anyone who has put up a job app or is searching for jobs recently has felt this....
DEI is literally about merit. It’s so folks with merit do NOT get overlooked based on bias. I’m starting to suspect this government is not on the up and up, here… /s

The two states in the US where low-tech Walden Schools are most densely located are California and Texas. That says a lot about how people working in tech heavy areas see the value proposition of unnecessary technology when it's their own kids.
