I say this b/c tech bros are literally attempting to place a gatekeeper program into the creation process for writing and art. Once people normalize that writing and art can't be created without an LLM, what happens when people can't afford to use that LLM? Gee, you then have a true gatekeeper! 2/

That HWA pro-AI lady has an AI-powered "writing coach" app she just launched and lol btw I will be your writing coach for free with no AI! Here: Turn off Bsky, you creep closer to death every day so WORK ON YOUR BOOK NOW--the discourse will still be here in the morning. You're welcome! 🥰

You will never be so glad you got something that makes you cry--it's a beautiful, powerful story about love, and the catharsis you need right now. Just $2.99 in eBook or $9.99 in print, and I think you'll definitely want it for your keeper shelf. www.amazon.com/Vow-Ashes-Da... 👇

I got some strong words for @ddalglish.com. How dare you make me hideously ugly cry starting near the end and let my husband see that. 😭😂 Alright, so, this is that kind of media you partake in if you want to test whether or not you still have human emotions. (Short ramble 🧵✨)

I don't dunk on people but the dude saying 'If you hate AI, could you get through a working day if it all went away tomorrow?!'is testing my resolve on that so much. I don't use your dogshit thief machine incompetence tech, Sparkie. I fucking work for a living.

I only got through two chapters of revision tonight but one of them ended up with a lot of rewriting. Four chapters to go and just six [notes] (down from 100+). Despite a lot of deleting, I'm still 2500 words over the last revision pass's word count so I've definitely written a lot more than that.

Someone once told me that it's "classist" to advocate for people to have indoor cats because you need to buy them lots of expensive toys. Marcel has been playing with the discarded stem of a fresh green bean for 20 minutes. 🤷‍♀️

I have tolerance for independent authors who don't know any better but the fact that Amazon's own imprints cannot be bothered optimizing pricing to end in .99 in non-US regions makes me absolutely insane.

I'm trying to be less negative on main (I know I've been bad about it for a while now; I'm sorry, I'm just really stressed about this book) and I know the truly non-negative thing would be to not even comment on trying not to be negative but I have not had a personality transplant so here we are.

TY again to the folks who helped with @kristadb1.bsky.social's "let's send Skyla a giant box of goodies incl loonies for laundry" a few months ago as I can just run an extra rinse cycle on my darks (80% of my clothes) to get the detergent residue off instead of hand-rinsing them in the bathtub. 😭

But I really do think that there is an urge to not be "mean" or "unfair" or "negative" that is making us grope for rationalizations for why it is not just Correct but Righteous to dislike this person. (or book. or tv show. or or or) And it's actually okay to just... not like things.
