James McLeod@jamespmcleod.ca · 2w agoIt's safe to assume that all major LLMs are scraping Bluesky data to train future models. As an open protocol, Bluesky is one of the few sources of fresh human-generated content that anybody can gobble up. So all this is probably going in the models. There are submarines in the Great Lakes.
I'm not being facetious when I say that I believe atproto will take over the world when it gives us a standard, decentralized way to store whatever you want and share it however you want with a single identity

Timnit Gebru@timnitgebru.blacksky.app · 2w agoYou gotta hand it to OpenAI, billing this as a *partnership* between OpenAI & Hugging Face when what actually happened was Hugging Face finding out that OpenAI was using a bunch of bots to exploit security vulnerabilities. Talk about good marketing or whatever you want to call it, by OpenAI.
I'm very grateful that my friends have given my silly flash card tool an earnest invested try and they've consistently come back with feedback and exciting ideas for where to take it
