This is spot on & it's not new. I'm not a particularly young person and it's been an expectation of only the left to understand the perspective of the right ("real Americans") throughout the entirety of my lifetime. In fact, the entire "liberal media" was built around presenting this perspective.

Elon Musk dumped $25 million into a state Supreme Court race here in Wisconsin last year and it turned the race into a referendum on Elon Musk and his attempt to buy the election. The result was a 10 point loss for his candidate in a very purple state (that had just voted for Trump)

I think my most genuinely unpopular take is that a widely held and genuine consumer preference for cheaper, lower-quality goods, not private equity, is driving the decline in quality of consumer goods like clothing and housewares.

This is a crisis of federalism. Tim Walz is asserting as fact that Iran attacked water infrastructure in Minnesota and several other states. And Trump is saying it's Minnesota's own fault they were attacked as part of a war he started.

As I've said before: What high-paying long-term jobs do they pretend exist here? A data center isn't a place where execs come and do Big Deals. Go to the server room at your workplace; are there lots of rich people in there spending money?
