I want to expand on this in a short thread. Fascism sucks. It is also not going away: it is an effectively permanent part of modern representative politics because it is an effectively permanent part of human nature. We have to be prepared to push back against it, basically forever.

Tim Pool ceased to exist when I quit Twitter years back, along with Matty Yglesias and hundreds of other forgotten souls whom I have no memory of except for when posts like this turn up from a hellish alternate universe that I happily don't occupy, but am glad someone's keeping an eye on.

Some of these Cofnas letter signers are deeply enraptured by the sanctity of the marketplace of ideas that they believe it is noble to fight for the rights of Eugenicists to practice Eugenics. A true lesson that nothing was learned from the horrors of Fascism and Nazism, it is merely an opinion.
If you defend a racist in trouble for racism, you're actually defending racism, so you're a racist. This is a very simple chain of logic, and the number of university professors who don't get it doesn't speak well of the current standards of higher education or scientific study.
