PC Gamer Headline: Mighty No. 9 trailer promises to make bad guys "cry like an anime fan on prom night” By Andy Chalk May 25, 2016 I'm not sure that taking cheap shots is really the way to go here. The new Mighty No. 9 trailer, entitled Masterclass, is all about the ninth Mighty's special abilities: his dashes, his combo moves, and his absorption boosts. The narrator is certainly excited about it. Are you? l ask because not everyone is. Kotaku, for instance, notes the irony of the line "make the bad guys cry like an anime fan on prom night" in an ad for a game in which you literally play as an anime character, and a lot of YouTube commenters don't seem to disagree. It's possible that the marketing department was going for a proper retro vibe for the retro-styled game-you know, something along the lines of this (or this, or this, or... this?)—but the cringe isn't actually ironic if it's played straight throughout. I'm not always a great judge of these things, though, and so I leave it to you: Is this, in fact, an awesome thing that is awesome? Or are you getting a slightly off-key vibe from it? Either way, Mighty No. 9, barring delays, will be out on June 21.

I have no clue why it was on that slide or who put it there, and every member of the crew I worked with is 100% against AI. Every aspect of the animation is handcrafted by real artists and I hope that people don’t use this slide as a reason to detract from how much love and labor went into the film.

I was on couch commentary on stream agdq 2018 as an out trans woman, and at no point during that event did I feel unsafe to be myself. In fact, it was the most accepted I felt in my life. I went back AGDQ 2020, same thing. I hear it has only gotten more trans friendly.

Something that is not being talked about in regard to the SNK/GDQ situation is how much the gaming industry is consolidating ownership to Saudi Arabia. It's not just SNK, it's also EA games, EVO, and even 10% of Capcom shares are owned by the Saudis now. It's dangerous to work with any company now

I'm just going to say the unpopular thing: Cheering for somebody to get fired because a mistake was made (and summarily corrected) is ghoulish. Clearly there was an oversight and people don't have to demand blood for every error. Some of you should reevaluate your morals.
