This ADHD "Fuck-You-Mentary" thing has been on my mind lately. If they succeed in doing to ADHD meds what they did to puberty blockers, then I'm pretty sure this new part of my mind will go back to sleep, and my career will be over. Dunno how I'll deal with student debt if that happens.
I have ADHD. I'm also a physicist. I got the ADHD diagnosis about a year and a half ago, after really struggling with work for a few years. I didn't know about it when I was in school, or when I started a physics undergrad as a mature student, or through my PhD. I have thoughts:

there is no such thing as "age verification." All "age verification" is actually "identity verification." You can coat it in glitter and "privacy-preserving" wrapping paper. But in the end, mandating age verification means mandating surveillance be built into software and hardware. Period.
