The October Daye series is the best Urban Fantasy series I've read, completely exploding what you can do with the genre. Also, if she wins, maybe we will be able to get them published in the UK too and not rely on American imports?

It is funny that as more people get duped by AI, the response more frequently seems to be to insist that the models are developing godlike intelligence and we all need to be sooo careful when the real lesson is clearly that the human psyche can get absolutely one-shotted by personalized flattery
Spent part of this evening pitting cherries for homemade cherry liqueur. They're currently in jars with sugar and strong vodka and will remain there for several months. Around xmas I'll strain and bottle the liquid and turn the cherries into delicious confections. Life is good.

Basic rules of society that we need to re-establish post Covid: - You actually have to stop for red lights and stop signs. - If you want to watch videos or listen to music in a shared public space, you need to use headphones. - Your pet does not need to go everywhere with you. - Don’t litter.
I want companies to understand that when I see an AI flier, my brain instantly deletes it. I don't think, "Ooh, I should go to this event!" I rush past it like it's a pile of dog poop. Same for ads with AI models. I assume that if your marketing is cheap garbage, so is your product.

The great thing about writing your own stories is that it's all yours and you can do whatever you want forever! The downside is that you have to... well, *you* have to *do* the whatever you want. Can't *think* a story onto the page. You gotta grab pen&paper or a keyboard. That's the tough bit.
