Is it just me or are all the illustrations of Fitz and crew too…white? It feels like the Buckkeep folks are brown-skinned based on the descriptions.
This is why cities need trees. Hard surfaces and parked cars can reach extreme temperatures, while shaded grass and tree-covered areas stay dramatically cooler. This is the urban heat island effect in one image: hard surfaces absorb and radiate heat, while vegetation and shade reduce it.

I was happy to see "The Road to the Spear" on the Hugo nominations list. I nominated it for short form, but with cancellation of the Wheel of Time, I wasn't sure it would get enough traction. Andor Season 2 is on the long form list as well. Nice! #WoTSkies
It took 449 hours, 18.7 days to listen too but I’ve finally finished the Wheel of Time for the first time. It was time well spent. To me among other things the series is about the beauty of humanity despite our failings. I would like to know what possessed Robert Jordan to include so much spanking
