For the record, the proportion of professors at Cambridge who are Black is 0.4%. The number of Black people in the UK population is 4%. So the number of Black professors at Cambridge is ONE TENTH of what you would expect in a meritocracy.

People using someone's life as a political football are now saying his death shouldn't be used as a political football. Arday's death is political. It's one of the longest running polical ideologies in British politics. The one so much wealth is built on: anti Black racism.

In the wake of Arday's death, Nathan Cofnas (who led the X mob against him) states his motivation. Beyond whistleblowing, he states that after a 'revolution' removes professors like Arday, it will open opportunities for him to become 'head of the department of eugenics and race science at Harvard'.

I see people lying every day - fearmongering about immigrants, trans people, disabled people, benefit claimants. Do they get hounded to death? No, they get cushy jobs at the Mail, Telegraph, Sun, Times and Express. So spare me the pretending that the press actually give a solitary shit about lying.

These gloves don't cause neuromuscular incapacitation the way that a taser does. In fact, they only work when applied directly to bare skin. These aren't made for apprehending anyone. These have one and only one use: causing extreme pain to already-restrained captives. In plain language: torture.

This is a story that no one outside of Cambridge should be aware even happened. Instead, I'm in New York and know about it because Arday's greatest crime in their eyes was the crime of being black in public.

What fucking difference does anything a Cambridge academic does make to me? None, none at all. It was an HR matter for his employer and nothing more. This was a spiteful, gleeful destruction of a life by racist journalists fed by the vipers nest that is academia for Twitter clout
