But this is a very, very, very trenchant piece of commentary that captures a lot of how I increasingly understand the disjunction between the commentary environment and on-the-ground politics.

Last night I dreamed I discovered footage of the Little Rascals performing "Total Eclipse of the Heart."
I'm not the biggest fan of my brother's wife (they're both MAGAs), but I'm relieved that her family down in Cali is safe. Some minor injuries and a crack in one home but otherwise OK!
In one college class, we received an assignment to write a short story about Black history. I only knew about the Big Stuff, and I wanted something else. Searching "black history" on AltaVista returned tons of hobby sites, and that's how I learned about Madam C.J. Walker.
