I don't know what it is or what to call it, but there is a real, genuine and detectable sense of joy that comes from GenAI use for a sub-group of dudes; joy at having Gotten Away With It, having the permission to commit a social wrong now because everything has shifted and stealing is okay now

In every context these places, spaces, groups exist. Supporting them helps build resilience & resistance. A bakery, a community space, a mutal aid group, an arts collective, a print shop, independent publishers & bookshops. When thinking about what you can do, don't forget what underpins movements

Do you have any idea how hard it is to take too much estrogen? Like technically possible but youd have to inject a full ml of 40 intramuscular to get there, and that would likely just fuck you up emotionally for a few days, worst case scenario your T would 0 out youd have to use a pump of cream

Such great investigation. This is going to sound made up but I was coincidentally reading the IPCC CCS report earlier today before this article came out and the stuff in there is just laughable (browser history shot so you know I ain't fibbin) www.ipcc.ch/site/assets/...

Technical Sunvnuychartrs showing lots of ccs in scenarios 19. In most scenarios for stabilization of atmospheric
greenhouse gas concentrations between 450 and 750 ppmv
CO2 and in a least-cost portfolio of mitigation options,
the economic potential23 of CCS would amount to 220–
2,200 GtCO2 (60–600 GtC) cumulatively, which would
mean that CCS contributes 15–55% to the cumulative
mitigation effort worldwide until 2100, averaged over a
range of baseline scenarios. It is likely20 that the technical
potential21 for geological storage is sufficient to cover the
high end of the economic potential range, but for specific
regions, this may not be true.
Uncertainties in these economic 20.In most scenario studies, the role of CCS in mitigation
portfolios increases over the course of the century, and
the inclusion of CCS in a mitigation portfolio is found
to reduce the costs of stabilizing CO2 concentrations by
30% or more.
One aspect of the cost competitiveness of CCS systems is
that CCS technologies are compatible with most current
energy infrastructures.
The global potential contribution of CCS as part of a
mitigation portfolio is illustrated by the examples given in
Figure SPM.7. The present extent of analyses in this field is
limited, and further assessments may be necessary to improve
information (Sections 1.5, 8.3.3, 8.3.3.4, Box 8.3)

NEW: A U.N. report concluded carbon capture could offset fossil fuels’ effect on climate change. Two decades later, the process has failed to meaningfully scale up, and it’s proving hard to take the promises back. with @drilledmedia.bsky.social

I was comisioned to write a risk analysis piece about the effects Flavio giving up his annulment demands would have on opposition Then he fled the country So instead i got to spend 1000 words calling him a cowardly little bitch in excruciatingly professional and polite terms 10/10 would do again

Yesterday it started to rain heavily across Indonesia, For those battling the widespread forest fires, a joyful moment. Over 10 firefighters have lost their lives this year & the haze from the fires impacted the whole region. The causes of the destructive fires however still need addressing...

The continued cycles of exploitation & impunity are a primary cause of the devastating forest fires in Indonesia. Not only have the Indonesian Gov't failed to tackle the fires, it's ignored them in West Papua and the Gov'ts own policies that set up the conditions for them to spread.

Bolsonaro, Vucic and Orban out, Flamingo and Cockroach Revolutions, French uprising and Iberian housing movements, Nepal and Bangladesh popular insurrection, Iranian and Serbian movements, these too are heralds of the current moment. We are once again in a time of movement and revolution

We are in the beginning of the middle of the revolutionary era, and once again anything can change, everything is up for grabs. Weve learned over the last fifteen years that anything can change can often mean things get worse, but power, solidarity and liberation are building too
