Booker: "Ghislaine Maxwell is sitting in the lowest possible confinement after giving no information that helped us get one more investigation started and has been silent, and the man responsible for that we're about to make the attorney general of the US ... this is farcical."

Whitehouse: "The last Q I'm left with is what's left of this committee? What's left when we don't demand straight answers? How many times has this DOJ been asked what became of the $50k the FBI reported it handed to Homan? ... our Republican colleagues see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil"

One more interesting point: this spring I sat down with Sharyn Alfonsi of 60 Minutes for an extensive interview about my Epstein investigation. Subsequently, CBS pulled the segment and fired the reporter. The MAGA buyout of media has unquestionably aided the Trump administration’s cover up here.

Bombshell new report out from my investigators this morning spanning our four year investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s financial records. This report shows exactly how Wall Street protected Epstein and enabled his sex trafficking for decades. Mega thread following with some key points:

MS: One of your criticisms of Fauci is that he said one thing publicly, where he sort of downplayed the virus, & one thing privately, where he acknowledge its seriousness. President Trump did exact the same thing. Does Trump deserve the same level of scrutiny? RAND PAUL: *immediately changes topic*

If Democrats retake the majority in the Senate and I become chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, one of my first acts will be to subpoena the bankers that helped Epstein carry out his crimes and help deliver real accountability.

On the campaign trail, Trump promised to make in-vitro fertilization completely free. Of course, he lied. Now, Senate Republicans have unanimously killed Sen. Tammy Duckworth’s proposal to expand coverage for military service members and their families. So much for being the “pro-family” party.

G.O.P. Kills Bid to Expand I.V.F. Access in the Military

In a notable shift, Republican senators voted unanimously against a proposal to expand the military’s coverage of fertility treatments.

It’s not going to make a difference in the vote to confirm but I’m glad they are pointing this out for what it is. And to the larger point: Trump is going to pardon most of his cronies before he leaves office but inevitably he’ll forget a few or they’ll piss him off somehow so there will be scraps.

Whitehouse: "Next we get to this crooked slush fund Trump family tax amnesty scam. We've got these two new pieces of paper. One signed only by Blanche, one not signed by anybody. Neither of which has any legal effect whatsoever. They are decorative. Can you trust Todd Blanche? I do not."

French forces held a fierce defensive perimeter around Dunkirk and lost 18,000 souls. 40,000 became POWs. Without their resolve we wouldn’t have our nation’s story. It’s estimated 20-60k French resistance fighters died during the war. You’re only diminishing yourself with comments like this.

I'm going to alienate some people now. Abortion is a critical part of gynecological care. Full stop. Hormonal birth control is used by many individuals simply to regulate difficult menstrual cycles. Legislators who don't understand the minutiae of reproductive biology should SHUT THE FUCK UP.
