Finally saw Superman 2025. The movie was definitely written for me; a nostalgic nerd who grew up on these characters and these storylines, AKA post-crisis Justice League. I'll definitely watch Supergirl, whatever people said about it. I just want more of this comics world.

Dammit LinkedIn; I've been reporting the crap on your website for *years*, before AI was even used to create it, and *now* you let me call it LinkedIn slop? Too bad I'm shadowbanned from reporting there because I kept reporting white supremacy and assault threats as what they were.

If it's in bad taste to criticize mainstream Dems when they have power because we "have to work together to make progress" and it's in bad taste to criticize them when they're losing because we "have to work together to defeat the right" when *can* you criticize mainstream Dems?

I just have zero interest in following thousands of accounts hoping they follow me back. I want my feed to be manageable because it's full of posts from people I actually want to hear from, not just a sea of noise that exists to feed my need to be heard in turn.

Has there ever been a more useless social media feature than LinkedIn's "X looked at your profile?" They didn't do anything, so clearly nothing came of it. What am I supposed to do with this information anyway?

Apparently I was supposed to watch Evangelion before reading the manga? Oops. Also, could I stop finding out that sci-fi writers who wrote fun things end up having shitty regressive views? Or really I guess could just people stop having shitty regressive views please.

I work on the Accessibility team at a company forcing a Github migration. Their changes are actively anti-neurodivergence, because they encourage conformity, force you to review the same thing multiple times to make sure it's right, and coporate insisting on doing the same job in half the time.

The story around AI used to be about generating more. For many neurodivergent professionals, the bigger benefit is offloading invisible labor: remembering what you promised, the dozen tabs open in your brain, the thread you meant to reply to. ⬇️

the vast majority of agricultural labor in the USA is done by undocumented latinos in an illegal kafala system-type employment arrangement with millionaire plantation owners and a small force of overseers who LARP as rugged cowboys. if you do not understand this you are not a serious leftist.

people do not fucking understand how agriculture is actually done in this country. they still have this little house on the prairie image of a white guy in overalls and a straw hat with a pitchfork, not overseers in ATVs driving around a 10,000 acre property at night to police mexican farm workers

Like, the pornbots make sense. The follow you, they hope you go to another platform to give them money, usual dead internet theory stuff. But the bots that are just pictures of people in clothing with tags saying they're naked? Did someone program their bot wrong? Very confused (and still blocked).
