This story by @adambonica.bsky.social is quite amazing but also fully on point, particularly for the NYT. After commissioning an opinion piece on predatory fundraising by Democratic Party, they were threatened with legal action and killed the story, despite it being factually correct.

In the last couple of years I learned that people just don't consider human rights to be important anymore. Still feeling crazy sometimes when I point out "good guys" doing bad thing is still bad is incomprehensible to most.
